Thank you for your kind, considerate owl. We’ve all been very well but busy!
Severus continues his steady work on his Potions book with an old colleague and friend. (Hailey has also made several contributions of her own to this large body of work, which Severus and I are immensely proud of her over.) When Severus isn’t working on his Potions book, writing his latest edition to Potions Weekly, nagging the girls (he seems to derive a lot of joy from that!), or submitting his latest inventions for publication, he is otherwise engaged in looking after our littlest twice a week when she stays home from Muggle daycare. (He enjoys that, too.)
I continue my steady work at the Ministry, reversing ancient blood laws and regulations from the old world. It’s been a slow process, and yet, a great deal has been accomplished in our department over the years I’ve been involved. I’m so proud of how far we’ve come!
Lily, Surina, and Hailey are back at Hogwarts and enjoying their time there, as always. (Severus chimed in over my shoulder that they’re also “getting into unwarranted mischief,” but that’s just rubbish! He exaggerates.) -ahem- Lily and Surina are still heavily involved in Quidditch, and Hailey makes greater strides in Potion-making every day, corresponding with Severus nearly around-the-clock. With the holidays fast approaching, I know the girls will continue to be busy with their studies.
Jeannie is increasing her magical capabilities every day and continues to delight and astound us all. Aside from working on honing her magic, she takes a lot of joy in spending time with us, colouring and drawing us new fantastic pieces of art, and reading.
Things are going well for us, Anon, and we hope the same for you and yours. Thank you for writing!
